BEM-working groups
Information and dates:
ALL BEM-working groups are digitised. Online, live and interactive.
In singular cases and on special occasions and situations, we may meet in person or as hybrid working groups.
Head of the BEM working groups: Markus Emmert (BEM Board)
With the growing importance of electromobility, the need for professional exchange has risen sharply. The BEM currently organizes 19 working groups that regularly deal with the aspects of new mobility: Charging Infrastructure, Grid Serviceability, Battery, Retrofitting, Maritime eMobility, Safety & Security, Green Fleet, Law, Off-Highway, Big Data, Blockchain, Public Transport and many more. In over 100 working group meetings every year, more than 1,850 participants now exchange views on specialist topics relating to new mobility, make political statements, form special commissions and task forces, respond to association hearings or formulate proposals for standardization or comment on funding projects. The BEM working groups thus cover 80 – 90% of the relevant market participants. The possibilities of this bundled view into and out of the market have led to the political apparatus increasingly turning to us via the ministries, and that is a good thing.
Join us in shaping a sustainable, socially acceptable and economically successful energy and mobility transition in a way that benefits society as a whole.
The working groups are supported by the BEM committees, such as the BEM parliamentary advisory board, and are thus involved in the process.

Information on antitrust law and compliance of the BEM working groups:
German and European antitrust law prohibits agreements and concerted practices between companies as well as decisions by associations of undertakings which have as their object or effect the appreciable restriction of competition (so-called cartel prohibition).
Agreements and concerted practices between companies as well as decisions by associations of undertakings are exempt from the ban on cartels if they
- contribute to the improvement of the production of goods or to the promotion of technical or economic progress (so-called efficiency gains),
- allow the purchasers of the goods to participate in these efficiency gains to an appropriate extent,
- only provide for restrictions of competition that are indispensable to achieve the efficiency gains, and the
- not open up the possibility of eliminating competition for a substantial part of the goods concerned.
Yours sincerely, Markus Emmert | Board member
