The association bears the name Bundesverband eMobilität e.V., abbreviated to BEM or BEM e.V., hereinafter also referred to as BEM, association or federal association. §2 Objectives and tasks

(1) The Bundesverband eMobilität is an association of companies, institutions, scientists and users from the field of new mobility, which is committed to converting the entire range of mobility in Germany, Europe and internationally to electromobility based on renewable energies. The BEM supports an economically viable green economy that secures jobs, value creation and prosperity, taking into account climate and environmental protection efforts.

(2) The BEM’s tasks include improving the legal and social framework conditions for the expansion of electromobility as a forward-looking transport concept, actively networking economic players for the development of intermodal mobility solutions and achieving greater equality of opportunity in the transition to low-emission drive concepts. In order to achieve these goals, the BEM networks stakeholders from business, politics, science and the media, promotes public awareness and acceptance of e-mobility and advocates the necessary infrastructural changes in order to promote the systemic transformation across all sectors.

(3) The association works together with other national, European and international associations and organisations on a cross-party and cross-society basis. The association is committed to fair competition in the electromobility market.

(4) The BEM is an interest grouping. The association does not intend to make a profit and does not distribute profit shares either during its existence or after its dissolution. Any surpluses are only used for statutory purposes and resolutions.
