BEM-board member Markus Emmert

Markus Emmert is a corporate, municipal and political consultant (energy, environment and electromobility). His experience of over 20 years in the field of renewable energies, his scientific work in the field of electrical engineering (eMSR, ICT and BI), as well as his various inventions, patents, utility models and their developments make him one of the leading experts in this field.

His focus is on a functioning smart grid (intelligent energy networks), affordable energy prices and the sensible use of energy through energy-efficient and intelligent measures and technologies. In the meantime, he advises corporations, companies from industry and business, politics, associations and municipalities as well as start-ups on their strategic orientation, product development and new business areas.

His expertise, network and experience in a wide variety of areas form his core competence, with sustainability, efficiency, the environment and collaboration/partnering always at the forefront. As a consultant, trainer, author, speaker, moderator and expert, he is invited to various events, symposia and discussions. As a board member of the German eMobility Association, he has supported the association and its members, and thus the electromobility sector, in areas such as smart grids, energy efficiency and renewable energies since the BEM was founded.

He also heads the current 19 BEM working groups and is Managing Director of the BEM Academy GmbH.
