Heads of the industry: A portrait of Manuela Hotop
Manuela Hotop is a committed electromobilist and co-founder of BEM member company EMOVY GmbH, which has specialised in supporting companies in marketing the GHG quota of electric vehicles and public charging stations for four years. At EMOVY, she is responsible for marketing and sales. She is also a board member of the German GHG Quota Association.
Manuela Hotop is convinced that it is our responsibility to actively contribute to climate change: »Everyone knows that the climate and resources must be conserved. It is the duty of each and every one of us to take action in the interests of our planet. Because we are not just guests on this planet, we are part of it.«
She founded her company with this in mind: »We want to reward all those who promote electromobility and thus make an important contribution to climate protection.«
Manuela is involved in the Federal eMobility Association (BEM), as electromobility is still not in a good position in Germany. It is important to her that the BEM adopts a clearer position in future and exerts more political influence in order to promote electric mobility in the long term. In her role as deputy committee spokesperson, Manuela Hotop is pursuing the goal of making the association fit for the future. Her focus is on:
- Creating the greatest possible transparency
- Strengthening member loyalty through active involvement in the association’s work and decision-making processes
- Promoting dialogue and networking in order to create synergies between members
Together with the other committee members, she is working hard to realise these goals.
