HKAPIA: Hong Kong Auto Parts Industry Association
»It was a great pleasure for me to present the developments and challenges of electromobility in Germany at an event organised by the Hong Kong Auto Parts Industry Association (HKAPIA),« explained Mustafa Atik, Head of International BEM Representative Offices. The event was hosted by the President of HKAPIA, Mr Chan Hoi Sang, as well as Vice President Ms Lily Chow and Michael Chan. The exchange took place at the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) under the leadership of Mr Francis Lai, Head Smart Industrial System and Composite Technology.
»The event was characterised by international cooperation and sustainable technologies that are intended to drive global change towards emission-free mobility,’ continued Atik. ‘In a city like Hong Kong, which is regarded as the economic hub of Asia, it is clear that the mobility transition is not just a national task, but a global one.«
Atik also emphasised: »The BEM plays a decisive role as a networking platform not only in Germany, but also internationally by bringing together players from politics, business and science. Germany should not only export technologies, but also learn from international markets. Hong Kong shows how closely innovation and infrastructure need to work together to enable sustainable mobility solutions. Such examples are also groundbreaking for Europe. I look forward to continuing this dialogue and developing further joint approaches.«
Participation in the event in Hong Kong is a further step by the BEM towards global networking and representing the interests of electromobility worldwide. With regard to the association’s international focus, Atik concluded by emphasising that the BEM will continue to intensify its dialogue with stakeholders on all continents in order to accelerate the mobility transition on a global level.
