Largest residential e-mobility project goes into operation

18.11.2021 / Press release E-Mobility Ladekonzepte GmbH

The largest e-mobility residential project in Berlin goes into operation today. In an underground car park in the Viktoria-Quartier in Berlin-Kreuzberg, 120 of the total of 600 parking spaces have been prepared for charging electric cars, with more to follow. The current charging capacity for this project is 2x 180 kW. This means that up to 120 vehicles can be charged at the same time.

e-Mobility Ladekonzepte GmbH from Speyer is responsible for the project. It relies exclusively on charging technology from Bender GmbH & Co. KG from Grünberg/Hesse. This is characterised above all by dynamic load management (DLM), which distributes the available electricity smartly and efficiently so that all users can charge equally and the grid is not overloaded. In addition, all charging stations used have Plug&Charge in accordance with ISO 15118 (charging infrastructure and electric vehicles communicate with each other without charging cards etc.) and are partially compliant with calibration law, depending on customer requirements.

Initial beta testers are completely satisfied with the offer. The charging points are supplied with 100% green electricity. Free Wi-Fi is also available for the entire charging infrastructure.
‘This project is a prime example of sustainable e-mobility concepts,’ says Markus Emmert, CEO of Bundesverband eMobilität e.V. ’It shows what possibilities there are for private charging in a residential environment. There is great added value for users.’
