Public / Private-CHARGING-STUDY 2024
For the sixth time in a row, USCALE has analysed the charging behaviour of electric car drivers in Germany. A total of 3000 electric car drivers were surveyed in detail about which charging locations they use at home, at work, at retail and in public spaces, how and why they use them and what their experiences are.
The most important results: All charging locations are important for the transformation to succeed. Charging in public spaces and at work is increasing. In contrast, the proportion of home chargers in apartment blocks is stagnating.
The feedback shows that the charging infrastructure has improved significantly compared to last year. Nevertheless, ‘all’ charging points must continue to be expanded at full speed. The study also shows that providers of charging solutions need to segment by user group. With the ramp-up, the market will become significantly more diverse. One-size-fits-all is working less and less.
