The car is still the Germans’ favourite child. Whether Mercedes, VW or BMW – their own car stands for freedom, joie de vivre and mobility. However, transport makes a significant contribution to overall CO2 emissions and thus to global warming. This is why the transport revolution, the transformation of the mobility sector, must succeed. This means the end of diesel and petrol. But how far is Germany on the way to achieving this?
